Description

► Assist the Director of Project Management & Operations in the development of the department guidelines, policies & procedures. ► Manage the activities of Design department, aiming at implementing policies and procedures and carrying-out any improvements required to enhance and improve the work-flow. ► Manage all activities related to the projects design process which includes (but is not limited to):  Preliminary design  Design development (design production, site plans, elevations, sections, etc.)  Selection of interior finishes, artwork, furniture and furnishings and ancillary equipment, etc  Ensure the utilization of optimum design tools and techniques  Ensure that the design is in line with the construction regulations and permits ► Participate in the tendering process in conjunction with the Procurement & Contracts Management section which includes (but is not limited to):  The development of the project Request for Quotation / Proposal “RFQ/RFP” utilizing all details received from the Marketing & Sales department as a result of the market research and feasibility study phase  The development of Request for Information (RFI) whenever needed  The classification process of the A/E consultancy firm/agency and/or other consultants  Analyzing, reviewing and screening received quotations/proposals  The selection of the best quotation/proposal ► Oversee the development of periodical progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) and ensure that all design works are following the terms and specifications that were agreed on. ► Oversee the conduct of periodical internal status meeting (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) to present the project status and agree on major and key milestones and ensure proper management of the project design in order to deliver the project successfully. Qualifications: ► Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline (Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical etc), Architecture or a related field (Master’s Degree is preferred) with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. ► Management-level experience is required (2+ years). ► Real estate industry experience is required. ► Considerable knowledge and practical experience in all phases of project development with a focus on project design ► Proficiency with AutoCAD design software and project management software including Primavera / MS Project
